In 1973, the well known Buzuq player and music composer Matar Mohammad, composed the music of “Wahdi ana wel Kas” which was later accompanied by lyrics written by Elie Choueiry and finally sung by Abdel Karim El Shaar. Although he learned, practiced and thought highly of the song, Abdel Karim stopped performing it at the time for personal reasons.
44 years later, El Shaar decided to release the song and perform it at Metro Al Madina, as a long song, exactly as the long gone Matar Mohammad had composed it, as a remembrance of the great artist.
