Flugen (Maya Aghniadis) is a Lebanese music composer/songwriter. After releasing her first alternative pop Album “Endless Trail”, Maya explores the world of film scoring and studies it for a year at Music Academy International (Nancy, France).
Opening up to a variety of world, classical and electronic music, she chooses an unusual path and launches her electro ethnic project in 2014 entitled “Flugen”

Flugen’s first launch party took place at Art Lounge Beirut (Flugen Nights December 2014) and went on performing around Lebanon (Onomatopoeia the music hub, Haven for artists festival) with the collaboration of other musicians.
After a year of independent touring around Europe in 2016, Flugen passed by Athens (Booze Cooperativa), Nancy (MJC DesForges) and finally Lyon (Livestation DIY) where she spent half a year and composed the Album "Lost Banjo" with Cellist Marie Caparros as guest musician.

Lost banjo is the story of good and bad, simple and complex, chaos and peace, love and hate, black and white, you and me.
The main characters are a lost banjo, a cello, a flute and the machine.

Marie Caparros started the cello at the age of 6. After completing the classical curriculum at the conservatory of Cavaillon at the age of 13, she took interest in improvisation in contemporary music (rock, pop, folk...), and joined the band “Enor Enora” in 2009. In 2011 she entered the Conservatory of Avignon to deepen her classical techniques. She completed her Diploma in Musical Studies in 2014, proceeding with two years of professional development .In parallel, she continues to participate in various projects, including album recordings in French chanson as well as compositions for short movies.
