“Laugh for Rida”
A stand-up show and gathering in solidarity with Rida's journey to recovery.
Wednesday August 9 at Metro Al Madina.
Doors open 8:00 pm - show starts at 9:00 pm.
The amazing and incomparable Shaden Fakih will be our host for this special night to support our good friend Rida on his recovery journey from a spinal cord injury. She will host a group of stand-up comedians to share laughs and at the same time support a good cause.

The event will also include a booth for Frames 4 Rida, where we will sell a collection of original classic film posters and original prints with all proceeds going towards Rida’s recovery campaign. You can also donate any prints or artworks from your collections (films, festivals, concerts, demos) and we will gladly frame them and add them to the selling collection. Our dear friend and forever-activist Rida is determined to reclaim his independence and recover from a paralysing spinal cord injury. While diving into deceptive waters a few weeks ago, Rida's head hit a rock formation which fractured his spine and resulted in immediate loss of movement and sensation in most of his body below his neck. Rida's rehabilitation journey will be a long one, and adapting to the necessary lifestyle changes will carry financial strain, which we can all help alleviate.

صديقنا العزيز والناشط العنيد رضى، مصمم انو يسترد استقلاليته ويخوض رحلة العلاج من الشلل الناتج عن اصابة تعرّضلها بالعامود الفقري. رضى كان عم يشّك بالمي وخبط راسه بصخرة وفوراً فقد الاحساس والقدرة على التحكم بكل اجزاء جسمه ما دون الرقبة. هالرحلة رح تكون طويلة ورح تفرض على رضى تغيير كبير بنمط حياته. هالتغيير كتير مكلف مالياً وهون كلنا فينا نساعد.
