Two or the Dragon is the electro-acoustic duo of Abed Kobeissy and Ali Hout.
Having performed in over 20 countries across 4 continents, the duo’s unapologetic approach to Arabic music hints at deconstruction, dance grooves, industry, satire and a deniable melancholy. Rather than a contemporary rendering of traditional Arabic music, Two or The Dragon's music is saturated with their city's aural components.
This concert will be a live interpretation of their latest album “DANCE GROOVES FOR THE WEARY”, that marked a departure from Two or The Dragon’s usual trademarks. The prevailing attitude here is one of sobriety and caution. At the heart of this new work is a desire to provide solace for the megalomaniac, the tired, the frightened, the bored, and the hopeful alike.

“التنّين” هو الثنائي الموسيقي المؤلّف من عبد قبيسي وعلي الحوت. بعد جولات في أكثر من ٢٠ دولة و٤ قارّات، تعود موسيقى التنّين إلى مترو المدينة دون استئذان من الأوضاع القائمة وأزمات الهويّة، بملامح تفكيك ورقص وتهكّم وحنين خجول.
سيكون هذا الحفل استعادة حيّة ومختلفة لألبوم التنّين الأخير Dance Grooves For The Weary الذي اتخذ مساراً مختلفاً عن الأعمال السابقة للثنائي البيروتي. في هذا العمل يسود جوّ من الصحو والحذَر، وفي صميمه رغبة لتأمين المواساة للمستكبر، والمنهَك، والخائف، والمُثقَل بالملل، والمُفعَم بالأمل على حدّ سواء.
