Walkabout Drum Circle
will be presenting their latest musical show at Metro el Madina for the first time!
Founded in 2009,
This year marks the 10th anniversary of this drumming community's life.
An ensemble of 12 musicians will immerse you in a magical eve of West African songs and
rhythms in a surprisingly interactive way.
The beats and grooves of this music form the basis for much of what you already find in the dance club.
And to hear it live
- in its original form -
makes for an amazingly powerful experience, including the urge to shake it on the dance floor :)
Additionally, the performance will place an emphasis on the cultural aspect of this music to reveal the deeper meanings and work of the traditional Djembeh/Dundun drums.
It's all about Joy, celebration, dance, whirls, laughter and togetherness.
It will leave you with a deeper sense of connection with yourself and others.
