Description
Join us for a live performance of Mayssa Jallad’s debut album Marjaa: The Battle of the Hotels. The album is inspired by Jallad’s architectural research on the world’s first skyscrapers’ battle, during the 1975 Lebanese Civil War.
Since its release in 2023, Marjaa has been touring in Lebanon and Europe. Most recent performances include the Transmusicales de Rennes, Institut du Monde Arabe, Biennale d’Aix en Provence and Bozar Bruxelles.
This show features performance graphics created by award winning director Ely Dagher.
Mayssa Jallad is a Beirut-based bilingual singer-songwriter, architectural researcher and teacher, born in 1990.
