Tunisian musician Khalil Epi takes on an immersive musical and cinematic journey through his native country, seeking out traditional folk music that is still alive today. Blending electronic music and video, he maps out a sensitive itinerary forming a bridge between two shores of the Mediterranean, between past and present, tradition and creation.
Biography:
Khalil Hentati (EPI) is a Tunisian composer, multi-instrumentalist, and videographer who blends electronic music with contemporary reinterpretations of folk traditions. Moving seamlessly between electro-pop, jazz, club, and classical music, he has explored diverse sonic aesthetics for over a decade. Founder of the Franco-Tunisian label Shouka, he has collaborated with artists such as Deena Abdelwahed, Imed Alibi, and N3rdistan. In 2023, he launched his solo project Aïchoucha.
