Circus Cabaret is a live, intimate circus evening where movement, music, and improvisation meet. Rooted in the spirit of Levitate Festival, the cabaret presents contemporary circus as a space for experimentation, play, and collective gathering—beyond spectacle alone. The night unfolds through a curated mix of circus and aerial performances, runway and drag, clowning, and MC-led interludes, alongside live music moments, including a special segment where musicians, circus artists, and dancers improvise together in real time. Structured acts flow seamlessly into improvised sections, with interactive moments inviting the audience to influence the performance and become part of the experience.

The evening concludes with a short live act by Joozoor, followed by a DJ set by The Samis, carrying the energy into the night.

This event supports Levitate Festival, an independent circus and aerial arts initiative founded in Lebanon with the aim of creating sustainable, accessible spaces for learning, creation, and community building. Born out of a desire to support artists across disciplines, Levitate contributes to the growth of contemporary circus and aerial arts in Lebanon by offering a platform for artistic development, expression, and exchange. More than a traditional festival, Levitate brings together performances, workshops, intensives, and open creative encounters, fostering collaboration between local and international artists while prioritizing accessibility, knowledge sharing, and long-term artistic growth. The cabaret serves both as a performance platform and a fundraising event, helping sustain future editions of Levitate while sharing its values and spirit with a wider audience.

BIO

Judy Salloum is a multidisciplinary circus and movement artist, performer, teacher, and organizer. Her practice spans aerial arts, dance, clowning, and fire performance, grounded in a self-directed foundation and enriched through international training. Since 2015, she has performed and taught across Lebanon, India, Scotland, Salzburg, Canada, and Brazil, while also organizing festivals and workshops in Lebanon to support the growth of circus and movement arts. Currently based in Montréal, she continues to deepen her artistic practice. Judy is the founder of Levitate Festival, an independent circus and aerial arts initiative in Lebanon that connects local and international artists through performances, workshops, and community-driven experiences. Her work extends beyond aesthetics, using circus and movement as tools to provoke, inspire, and create meaningful connection with audiences.
